The FirenzeCard

For the trip, the Crous of Orléans-Tours gave us a Firencard. 72 museums to visit for free within 72h (for 72€). At first glance this might seem expensive but one should not judge a book by its cover. Here is our list of advantages for the FirenzeCard.

No Waiting Lines

Indeed, we did not have to wait in line for the Galleria dell'Academia at all and just a little bit for the Galleria degli Uffizi. Having the FirenzeCard means you get to wait in a different line, thus not waiting as long.

The Total Price

72€ seems expensive but you have to consider what you get. We looked at some of the museums we visited:

-         Duomo, Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiorecathédrale, Campanile, Battistry : 18€

-         Palazzo Vecchio : 14€

-        Galleria degli Uffizi : 20€

All of the most important and impressive things Florence has to offer are in your hands and it barely costs anything.

The Choice

The museums and monuments you can visit with the card are very diverse and interesting. The most famous ones are on the list, as are some lesser known ones. There is a lot to do!

In conclusion : if you go to Florence to swim in the Italian culture, the FirenzeCard is definitely an advantage. But be careful, if there are only 2 things on your to-do list, you might end up spending more with than without.
